Lincoln School Committee approves nurse, library trustee and capital plan previews

LINCOLN — May 7, 2026 — Lincoln School Committee advances CASE audit response and previews five-year capital plans. Director of Student Services Lisa Burrard reported the district has begun administering the MetroWest Adolescent Health Survey and the Signs of Suicide screener, expanded the Wayfinder SEL curriculum into general education classrooms, and trained mental health staff on multi-tiered supports in response to last year's CASE audit, which flagged a 24 percent special education identification rate. Member Kenneth Lepage pushed for a status grid tying each of the audit's seven improvement areas to actions and a red-yellow-green rating, saying his role "is oversight." The committee unanimously appointed Joyce Jennings as Lincoln School nurse, reappointed Lucy Maulsby to a third term as library trustee, named Superintendent Harry Graham to the CASE Board, and accepted a $500 Bright Light Award to seed a plaque honoring the School Building Committee. Facilities staff flagged a roughly $70,000 Hartwell chairlift replacement and a $180,000-per-year Hanscom preventive maintenance line.
