Lincoln School Committee renews superintendent contract, defers Hanscom reserve decision
LINCOLN — March 19, 2026 — Lincoln School Committee approves new six-year contract for Superintendent Parry Graham, defers further Hanscom reserve action. The committee voted unanimously in open session March 19 to ratify the contract negotiated by Chair Matina Madrick and member Kenneth Lepage. Most of the meeting focused on the $10.9 million Hanscom School reserve, which Graham broke down into a $2.2 million unemployment sub-account, $650,000 for capital, $640,000 for special education, $550,000 for operating costs and roughly $6.7 million unallocated. Three residents urged return of more than $2 million in what they called misallocated funds; resident Sarah Postawait said "a mistake was made." Madrick noted the committee paid the town just under $560,000 last June for fiscal 2024-25 pension reconciliation under updated Collins Center methodologies that raised indirect-cost payments from $71,000 to over $200,000 and pension payments from roughly $200,000 to over $400,000 annually. Lepage said the committee is "losing the PR war" and pushed to revisit the question with two members joining after the March 30 election.
