Select Board hears deCordova reopening plan, advances cannabis delivery moratorium

LINCOLN — May 18, 2026 — Lincoln Select Board hears deCordova 2028 reopening plan and advances cannabis delivery moratorium. Trustees of Reservations representatives Sarah Montrose and a colleague identified as Ashley walked the board through schematic designs for the Wangren, Linde and Dewey galleries, with construction targeted for winter 2026, fundraising launching June 1, and gallery reopening spring 2028. Town Administrator Tim Higgins said town counsel recommends sending a letter to the Cannabis Control Commission requesting a one-year delivery moratorium so a non-binding resident vote can be held at the March annual town meeting. Member Jennifer Glass presented a 17-person performance review of Higgins built from an adapted MMA instrument; scores were almost entirely fours and fives, with one three and no ones or twos. The board voted unanimously to renew Juneteenth and Pride Month proclamations and approve new charges for the Transportation Coalition, Roadway and Traffic Committee, and Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, and confirmed Sept. 24 for the State of the Town meeting.
