Lincoln METCO sets June 6 community-wide Juneteenth celebration

LINCOLN — A community-wide Juneteenth celebration hosted by Lincoln METCO and sponsored by the Boston Bridges Initiative is the headline item from a slow news cycle in Lincoln, with no fresh posts from Town Hall, the library or commercial outlets in the past 24 hours.

SCHOOLS

Lincoln METCO will host a Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 6, from 12:30 to 4 p.m., according to an announcement on the Lincoln Public Schools site. Vendor tables open at 12:30 p.m., a formal program runs from 1 to 2 p.m., and outdoor festivities follow from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The district says the lineup includes Boston Kroc Center performances, local and community vendors, live music, a STEP team, poetry, food, dance, a DJ and bouncy houses.

Families with students in the K-8 district are also being reminded that the LPS Family Feedback Survey remains open. Superintendent Parry Graham's most recent bi-weekly message, posted May 22, framed the run-up to Memorial Day weekend and the closing weeks of the 2025-26 school year; the district lists 28 school days remaining as of the May 8 message.

At Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, the most recent posting in the news feed remains the May 14 "LS News & Happenings" message from Superintendent/Principal Andrew Stephens. No new community news items have been posted in the coverage window.
